COVID-19 – enhanced hygiene & screening protocols at Befit Physiotherapy

We would like to update you on the evolving COVID situation and the precautions we are taking as the health and safety of our clients and staff is always our top priority.

Befit Physiotherapy will continue to operate as an essential service during the NSW lockdown and will remain open for patients. Also all our staff / Physiotherapists are fully vaccinated for your further reassurance.

We have taken a number of steps to minimise COVID related risks and we follow all the COVID protocols including mandatory face masks, hygiene procedures, check-in and patient screening.

Hygiene 
1. We are closely following all advice received from Australian medical authorities and Australian Physiotherapy Association.

2. Our team maintains high hygiene standards in the clinic, including mandatory masks and proper hand sanitising procedures before / after contact with the patients.

3. We have high cleaning standards  in place at our clinics at all times and we have enhanced them by introducing additional antimicrobial sanitising of hard surfaces (countertops, door handles, equipment etc) to reduce the risk of harmful virus and bacterial infections.

4. New wipes, bed liners & face covers are provided for each client and all hard surfaces of the bed are sanitised.

Bookings & Patient Screening

We understand the community concerns and risks and have introduced screening using self-declaration for all our patients. All the patients are requested to call us and reschedule your appointment if :

1. They have been to a designated COVID hotspot / exposure site in the last 14 days.
2. Have been in close contact with a COVID patient.
3. Have symptoms such as fever, cough or shortness of breath.

In addition to the above, we also follow the mandatory NSW Govt check-in procedure using QR codes.
